Key Properties:
The specified properties are for bar products in ASTM A276. The properties may not be necessarily similar to other forms such as forgings and plates.
Typical applications of grade 2205 stainless steels include the following:
for oil refining, fertilizer, paper, petroleum, chemical resistance, high temperature concentrated nitric seawater heat exchangers and cold shower unit and devices.Duplex 2205 duplex stainless steel alloy is 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum, and 4.5% of nickel, nitrogen alloyed stainless steel. It has high strength, good toughness and good overall and partial resistance to stress corrosion.
